Broadland Country Park
Broadland Country Park is a 140‑acre mosaic of heathland, woodland, and marshy grassland, located in rural Norfolk. Designed as a free, accessible green space for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders, it was purchased by Broadland District Council in 2020.

In 2026 the park's management will move to Norfolk Wildlife Trust including a new cafe concession that will enhance the experience for the estimated 52,000 visitors who enjoy the space annually.
NWT needed a business case to support the acquisition and operation of the new facility. I worked with them to explore the opportunities presented by the new cafe including the audience potential, options for a sustainable operating model, how it sits within the wider park, presentation of the offer and how it works as part of the wider NWT portfolio.

It also explored long-term sustainability with modelling to demonstrate the financial requirements that led the charity to at least a break-even point.

The final report offered NWT a full suite of options and recommendations about the best approach to create a successful offer.

The cafe is due to open as a concession in Summer 2026.
